LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 3 March 2023 – The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) Board of Governors has confirmed the incoming editors in chief (EICs) for 11 IEEE CS publications. Ramesh Subramanian, of Quinnipiac University (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Annals of the History of Computing, which publishes work covering the broad history of computer technology–including technical, economic, political, social, cultural, institutional, and material aspects of computing.
André Stork, of Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD (Germany), is the new EIC of IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications (CG&A), which bridges the theory and practice of computer graphics, visualization, virtual and augmented reality, and human-computer interaction.
Charalampos Z. Patrikakis, from the University of West Attica (Greece), is the new EIC of IT Professional, which is a bimonthly publication for developers and managers of enterprise information systems.
Balakrishnan Prabhakaran, from the University of Texas at Dallas (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE MultiMedia, which serves the community of scholars, developers, practitioners, and students who are interested in multiple media types and work in fields such as image and video processing, audio analysis, text retrieval, and data fusion.
Fahim Kawsar, of Nokia Bell Labs, Cambridge (UK), is the new EIC of IEEE Pervasive Computing, which explores the role of computing in the physical world as characterized by visions such as the Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing.
Jesse Hoey, from the University of Waterloo (Canada), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, a cross-disciplinary journal aimed at disseminating results of research on the design of systems that can recognize, interpret, and simulate human emotions and related affective phenomena.
Cong Wang, from the City University of Hong Kong (China), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, which publishes archival research results focusing on foundations, methodologies, and mechanisms that support the achievement of systems and networks that are dependable and secure to the desired degree without compromising performance.
Shuguang (Robert) Cui, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (China), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, which focuses on the key technical issues related to architectures, support services, algorithm/protocol design and analysis, mobile environments, mobile communication systems, applications, and emerging technologies.
Xian-He Sun, from the Illinois Institute of Technology (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, which publishes a range of papers that deal with the parallel and distributed systems research areas of current importance to its readers.
Sebastián Uchitel, from the Imperial College London (UK), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering. This journal is interested in well-defined theoretical results and empirical studies that have potential impact on the construction, analysis, or management of software.
Han-Wei Shen, from The Ohio State University (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, a scholarly journal that presents important research results and state-of-the-art seminal papers in computer graphics, visualization, and virtual reality.
