TCI Call for NominationsThe IEEE Computer Society Technical Community on the Internet (TCI) is a forum for furthering research aiming at the advancement of the Internet — its underlying technologies and the applications it supports. The forum’s interests span many areas in computer science and engineering — areas that are shaping the grand symbiosis of the Internet and the Web.

TCI is currently calling for 2022 nominations for its Distinguished Service Award and Rising Star Award to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community. Details are provided below including award introductions, areas of achievement examples, nomination packet requirements, and submission instructions.

You can learn more information about the awards and the technical community on TCI’s homesite.

Nominations for both awards must be submitted no later than 1 June 2022.

  •  Software or other research assets that are widely available and widely used (include the number of downloads and citations to the asset).
  •  Recognition by peers and others including (for example) awards; leadership responsibilities; service on technical program committees, editorial boards, etc.; influence on standards or other commercial activity; and competitive funding success.
