Nominations for First Vice-President

This position requires a one-year commitment as First Vice-President. Candidates must hold Member grade or higher in the IEEE and have been a Computer Society member for the preceding three years.


The First Vice-President executes a portfolio assigned by the President to achieve key objectives and attend to major issues and purposes.  The First Vice-President provides counsel and assistance to the President and other volunteers leaders, and provides leadership and direction to officers and Society programs. The First Vice-President is second in succession to the President and first in succession to the President-Elect.

The First Vice-President serves as a franchised member of the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and Planning Committee.
