Muhammad Shahab Siddiqui is a Senior Member of IEEE. He joined IEEE as Member Grade in 1998. He Completed his PhD (Computer Science) Degree from Hamdard University, Karachi, Pakistan in 2013. Since November 01, 2021, He started SECRET Solutions [Siddiqui Entrepreneurial Consultancy for Research, Educational and Technological Solutions] for Research and Development in Software and Website Development and Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and Computer Graphics supported by Girls Team. He worked at Jinnah University for Women, Karachi, Pakistan as Professor, Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering from January 2015 to October 2021. He was working as Dean, Faculty of Science from August 2015 to January 2019. He has 25+ years of experience of Academic and IT and Software Development at different Universities, Software House, IT department and Banking Organizations.

He did MA in Women Studies from CEWS, University of Karachi in 2005. He completed his BCS and MCS from FASTICS, Karachi, Pakistan in 1995 and 1999 respectively. He is an active volunteer of Computer Society of Pakistan (CSP) and International Organization of Pakistani Women Engineers (IOPWE). He was a member of ACM, IET, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Communication Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group.

Community Algorithm and its Tools

Widening the field of computational intelligence, Community Algorithm (CA) was developed in 2008-2011, which is used to classify users, emerging their roles in a human community, analyzing their interaction level, and interaction between communities. CA is a variation of Genetic Algorithm created by Dr. John Holland and toils on same foothold of Cultural Algorithm build by Dr. Robert G. Reynolds. The gist of the Community Algorithm is to provide a platform to formalize the notion of human community and its analysis will lead to a fully functional algorithm. Community Algorithm has 12 components which will help in analyzing a human community based on their level of interaction. They are mainly grouped as Population Spaces, Ontologies, Community Sticker, Operators and Indices. Population Space will deal with 3 Spaces for World, Community and Interaction. There are 3 ontologies for Community, Human Community, and Profile. Using a 10-bits Community Sticker with 3 operators of Migration, Marriage, and Birth. Also, 2 indices of Interaction and Role will classify types of users in different communities.

To proof the research, over a period of 6 years (2016-2021), we have explored 5 different domains in order to produce tools for the domains of Education, Healthcare, Financial, Food Science and Media Studies Sectors, namely, CATED, CATHD, CATFD, CATFood and CATMD. Testing different hybrid communities of 500 people for their interaction in 4 mediums of Email, SMS, Chat Session and WhatsApp Messages. Each of the 3 tools are comprised of 5 modules related to eProfile, Community Generator, Community Sticker Generator, Randomizer and Analyzer. Analyzer have two components of Data Analyzer and Graph Analyzer. CATFD worked with human as well as machines, so creating 2 stickers i.e. Human Sticker and Machine Sticker and the previous 2 tools [CATED and CATHD] just extended the existing Community Sticker with its relevant number of bits. CATFood worked on human and food stickers, while the latest tool, CATMD is working on human and media stickers.

Enabling Lab

Enabling Lab is a Humanitarian Support Lab, which develops Software to help out different deprived communities including people with Disabilities and Disorders. For the time being, our team focus on Blind Community, Deaf Community, Autistic People, and Dyslexic People. We are working on developing six (6) software, namely, Talking Money Reader, Pakistan Sign Language Learning Tool, Urdu Speech Therapy System, Urdu Braille Editor, Pakistan Autism Learning System and Dyslexic Learning Tool. For proper coordination with the required communities, we are in contact with five NGOs in Karachi, Pakistan. They are Pakistan Disabled Foundation (Deaf/Blind), Danishkadah (Deaf), Pakistan Association of Blind (Blind), Kazim Trust (Dyslexic), and Vailla’s School (Autistic).

We have on board, blind and deaf instructors to teach Braille in English and Urdu and Pakistan Sign Language and Therapists for Autistic, Dyslexic and Speech difficulty. This lab will help in creating a Women-oriented support to the society and to the deprived communities with the female-featured care.
